If I could give more than 5stars I would!! Now I understand what sets this DQ apart from other ones! They are family owned and this diner has been in their family for many generations! They are able to serve DQ items without having corporate over head like other ones. The STAFF is all related and they go above and beyond to make sure everything Great! They are the friendliest /happiest BEST service staff I have ever seen in any Dairy Queen!! The food is AWESOME TOO! They go above and beyond with their food items! The blizzards here are the BEST! They make sure that you get the topping mix/ flavor of your choice with alot mixed well into the blizzard. The topping mix is not just dumped on top like other DQ's. Burgers and fries are GREAT!! Chicken tenders and gravy yummy too! It is small inside so make sure not to come during lunch rush and they are only opened during the week monday -friday.

Close your eyes and imagine the perfect Dairy Queen. If you were at Hickey’s DQ, you’d have a tough time figuring out when exactly you opened them again. Except for the folks working here - your imagination just isn’t good enough to imagine them. Or the onion rings, those are pretty amazing. I just finished an order and my mouth is watering imagining more. Yes, they tore down the old building for some fancy new digs. But it’s the same wonderful people making the same delicious food. Stop imagining and swing by.

Restaurant looks brand new than in pictures. Food is great tasting. Prices are reasonable. Super clean. Service is amazing, best I've seen in a while from any establishment. Keep up the great work you guys are doing here.

I love this DQ. It's brand new but they kept done of the nostalgia from the they tire down and replaced. The food is still the same. The people are great.

This is the best DQ I have ever been to...and I’ve been to a lot. Friendly staff, super clean! They have a Blizzard menu of over 60 flavors. This put every other DQ to shame.

There's two Dairy Queens in town but I like this one because it is locally owned instead of part of a corporate entity. You can definitely feel the difference in the quality of the food. There's more love here and you can see it in the smiles of the people that work here. Local for the win!

On this visit this was the last day to eat in the old building. Hickey's Dairy Queen has been around for years. This building was iconic for this small town and I went to school with the owner. The food and service here is the best. It will be sad to see the building gone.

The best! Hickey’s DQ is a local favorite, but they don’t mind sharing their #1 food/ice cream spot with visitors. Owned by the Hickey family for multiple generations, this DQ is an iconic treasure of Mineral Wells! On my last visit, it was Sam Hickey’s 60th birthday, and there he was making fresh onion rings. Thank you, Sam, Charlee, and the rest of the Hickey family and staff for awesome treats, delicious eats!
